Lifelong Performance for Mountain Bikers

Mountain biking places huge demands on the body — especially when you’re balancing riding with work, family, injuries, and real life responsibilities.

My coaching is built to help riders improve performance, stay durable, and keep progressing long-term without burning themselves into the ground.

Over the last 15+ years in strength and conditioning, I’ve helped hundreds of riders improve the way they move, train, recover, and ride — from World Cup racers, professional coaches, guides, and YouTubers to grassroots enduro racers, downhill riders, weekend warriors, junior athletes, and riders recovering from injuries they weren’t sure they’d come back from.

This is evidence-based coaching built specifically for mountain biking — designed to improve performance on the trail, not just numbers in the gym.

My Story

My background started in high-performance rugby and a degree in Sport & Exercise Science before eventually leading me into the world of mountain sports here in Squamish, BC.

Since then, I’ve spent more than 15 years coaching in the Vancouver fitness industry, working across performance training, rehabilitation, movement coaching, and athlete development.

Today, my focus is entirely on helping mountain bikers:

  • ride stronger

  • recover better

  • manage pain and fatigue

  • stay consistent

  • and extend their riding longevity

I’ve worked with:

  • World Cup-level mountain bikers

  • Tour Divide gravel racers

  • ultra endurance athletes

  • enduro and downhill racers

  • riders returning from major injuries

  • and everyday riders who simply want to feel stronger and more confident on the bike

Like many of the athletes I coach, I’m balancing performance goals with work, family, and the realities of everyday life. That perspective shapes how I coach.

The goal isn’t to train like a full-time athlete.

The goal is to help you get the most out of the time and energy you do have — while building a body that continues to perform for years to come.

Long-Term Performance

Good training should improve both performance and long-term health. The goal is to keep riding hard for years — not just survive the next season.

Consistency Beats Intensity

Progress comes from sustainable weeks and months of quality training, not random all-out efforts.

Injury Prevention Matters

Managing pain, movement limitations, and recovery is often the foundation for long-term progress on the bike.

Training Should Fit Your Life

Your training should work around your riding, schedule, stress, and recovery capacity — not compete against them.

Strength Training Should Transfer to Riding

The goal isn’t just getting stronger in the gym. It’s building strength, endurance, control, and resilience that actually improve your riding experience.
